Class Types

Be Yoga offers a wide range of class styles to provide a well-rounded practice. We believe that attending a variety of class styles enhances your practice, as each has different benefits.

VINYASA

Movement Linked with Breath

Many of our classes are a Vinyasa style of class. These include, Slow Flow, Vitality Flow, Power, Morning Uplift*, Intuitive Flow*, Mystic Melt*, Energetic Flow and Tone & Flow**. These classes move around the mat to while linking the movement to your breath. Often they will contain Sun Salutations and cultivate a little heat within to help clear stagnant energy and excess tension in the body. These classes are more active than the other two categories and alternatives/modifications to poses and flows are offered for accessibility.

* These classes offer a combination of Vinyasa and other styles like restorative, gentle, meditation, and more.

** This class incorporates the use of light weights and bands to build strength and stability throughout the flow.

GENTLE

Slower & Gentler to Stretch & Open

Our gentle classes still tend to link movement to the breath and flow cohesively from one pose to another. But, poses are held longer and are often less strenuous on the body. We spend more time breathing into the poses to help release tension and develop a deeper connection with our bodies and minds.

This style of class includes our Gentle, Gentle Flow, and Yoga Foundations and are a great option for beginners and seasoned yoga students alike.

These classes may use blocks, straps, blankets and more in-depth cueing to help create a better understanding of the body and the sensations you want to feel and those you want to avoid in poses.

RESTORATIVE

Cultivating Stillness and Connection

We have a few options that either solely focus on the restorative style, or incorporate it into a more active class to give you the benefit of stillness.

The Restorative Yoga practice is important for our nervous system and energetic system and acts as a reboot. These classes incorporate stillness in poses where you are supported by blankets, pillows, blocks and more to encourage complete muscle and mind relaxation. This complete letting go allows your body to enter into a period of restoration, which can begin to harmonize your body, mind and spirit as well as your entire nervous system and body.

In addition to restorative poses, guided meditation, visualization and Yoga Nidra may be utilized to help with the relaxation process and reduce the effects of chronic stress, tension and more!

What our students say

Is there New Student trial option available?

YES, we offer a 2-week trial period of 14 days for $45. During this period, you will have full access to all of our regular classes, on-demand library and virtual classes.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time before your renewal happens.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require all cancellations happen at least 90 minutes prior to the scheduled class. Classes cancelled inside of the 90 minute period cannot be refunded or credited back.

How does billing work?

If you have a recurring membership, your card will be charged the same day each month until you cancel (prior to the renewal date.) If you are buying a package, trial option, or drop-in, you will be charged at the time of purchase.

How should I dress for class?

Our classes are warm, as the room is usually set to 90 degrees, so you will want clothes that are moisture wicking and/or tighter fitting so they don’t flop over your head or cause restricted movement. We also require that all private parts be covered up for the safety and consideration of all our students and members.

What do I need to bring with me?

You just need to bring your yoga mat and water. We encourage you to leave all your belongings at home or in our lobby so you can fully disconnect from the outside world and turn your focus and attention inward.
